April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star from the United States She is one of a small category of females who have won medals in multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman is the newest Olympian and will join her in Tokyo. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic gold medal. As she is 39 she could have her last shot. But she's still convinced of winning top awards. Ross was quoted in NBC Boston as saying that when you perform at your very best, even if you play well we will get the gold. "I'm planning to test some luck." Ross was born in the city of Costa Mesa, California in 1982. Her parents as well as her sister were residents there. In addition to participating in a variety of sports, Ross also attended Newport Harbor High School. She played basketball and ran track in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors as a pre-collegiate athlete. But she clearly was superior to the rest in this latter game. As a time at the high school level in her university bio, she was an outside-hitter, middle-blocker and setter. Thanks to her hard work she was named the 1999 Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. Also, she won the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman might have begun working together in the year 2017, however Ross was an experienced athlete at the beach prior to when they came together. In reality, she was a winner of numerous major events in the past with two different partners. among them an icon of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy was her partner during six years from 2007 until 2013. She also worked with Klineman and herself. Ross, the teammate of Kessy's, who took home the title of world champion together with Kessy in 2009 was also significant on the an international level. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they received a gold medal. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the team to beat for the gold. Ross was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's departure. They went on to compete for the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016 along with Walsh Jennings. Ross played for the USC Trojans in college years after she graduated high school. Her time at USC was quite impressive. The year 2000 was her freshman year. was when she won the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of the award and become an All-American. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans to make it to the Final Four. The second season of her career she suffered a devastating personal tragedy, but managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. In her last two seasons as a member of the Trojans team the team was led to victories by winning the national title in consecutive years. The achievements of each individual have established her status as a legend in volleyball. She won the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the top female NCAA player. Ross, a USC international relations student was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross didn't get to see Ross become the highest beach volleyball levels. Ross's mother passed away from breast cancer while she was a sophomore at USC. But, she will always keep her mother's memory close and dear. Margie remains a source of inspiration, both off and on of the shore.
